BaptismBaptism is the way the church receives babies, children or adults into the family of God. We also offer a form of service for parents where they wish to give thanks for the birth of a child while leaving open the question of baptism. Some people use the term 'Christening' for what the church calls baptism. Baptism is not specific to any one church denomination. A person is baptised a Christian rather than an Anglican. Christian churches generally recognise the baptism of those baptised in other Christian churches. If you would like to discuss being baptised or having a child baptised, please contact the vicar. WeddingsA church wedding needs to be appropriate to the couple and involve the couple in its planning. Every wedding is unique and we are able to offer a choice of venue and flexibility of style. The vicar is also available to officiate at weddings in locations other than the parish churches. See further information on weddings. FuneralsFuneral services are available on request. This service is not restricted to members of the church. Funerals may be conducted in one of the churches, in a private facility or at a Funeral Director's premises. If you would like to arrange or discuss a funeral, please contact the Vicar. |
